The Mighty Mighty Bosstones son una banda de ska-punk,ska-core de Boston, Massachusetts, fundado en 1983.Desde el inicio de la banda, el vocalista Dicky Barrett, el bajista Joe Gittleman, el saxofonista Tim "Johnny Vegas" Burton y bailarin ("Bosstone") Ben Carr se han mantenido constantes los miembros. La formación actual incluye también el baterista Joe Sirois, el saxofonista Kevin Lenear, el guitarrista Lawrence Katz y el trombonista Chris Rhodes.

El Bosstones se acredita a menudo como uno de los progenitores del género de ska-punk y los creadores de su sub-género de ska-core, una forma de música que mezcla elementos de ska con punk rock y hardcore. Desde el lanzamiento de la noche a los de 1989 Devil debut de salida, la banda estuvo de gira y grabaciones a lo largo de la década de 1990, convirtiéndose en una figura clave en el desarrollo de la American tercera ola escena ska y una de las primeras bandas en popularizar el género en la corriente musical, alcanzando su auge comercial con su disco de platino álbum de 1997 Seamos realistas y su éxito "La impresión que tengo". La banda ha publicado siete álbumes de estudio, EPs y tres un disco en directo el momento en que anunció una pausa en diciembre de 2003.

En el otoño de 2007, el Bosstones reunirse para reanudar la gira y la grabación. La banda lanzó su álbum más reciente, y su primera en siete años, los puntos de Pin y bares de carretera, en diciembre de 2009. La banda se encuentra trabajando en un nuevo álbum.
